AVG download

I keep trying to install AVG and it starts and then stops at 6%.  No way to go forward.  I tried for a while yesterday and then gave up about 10pm.  I then tried again this morning but it is still stuck at 6%.  Help!

We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
We request you to uninstall AVG compeletly first and try reinstalling.
Also, Make sure there is no other antivirus already installed on your device.
If so please uninstall it first and then proceed with installing AVG.
Here is the steps to uninstall and reinstall AVG :
1. Uninstall AVG - (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=uninstall-avg-software-clear-remover&q=uninstall)
2. Restart your computer (Don't skip this step)
3. Installing AVG Internet Security  (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlname=install-avg-internet-security&retUrl=support_Internet_Security)
