I received an alert that a program on my computer was moved to quarantine for being infected with IDP.Generic malware. This is a trusted game file downloaded from the company platform. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again but the same error happens. Could this be a false positive? Is it safe to create an exception?

Before that make sure to submit the false positive (https://www.avg.com/en-ww/report-false-positive#pc) form for analysis. Once you submit a false-positive form, our AVG Threat detection team will analyze it and get back to you via email. If it is confirmed as safe, it will be whitelisted and the virus definitions database will be released through an update. Thanks for your understanding.
