Issue with AVG Antivirus slowing down my Pc

Hi everyone, I have been using AVG Antivirus on my Window 10 Pc for a while now, and i have noticed that my system has been  running slower due to which the speed of my site has also become slow. Could this be related to AVG? and if so, are there any settings or features i can adjust to improve performance without compromising security.
Thanks in advanced for you help!

If you think AVG Antivirus is slowing down your PC, you can try these steps:

Disable AVG: You can disable AVG Internet Security or temporarily disable AVG AntiVirus protection
To disable:
Right-click the AVG icon in the System Tray. This is located in the lower-right corner of the desktop. ...
Click Temporarily disable AVG protection.
Choose how long you want the protection to be disabled and whether to disable the firewall as well.
Click OK.
Check if you see any improvement in the speed.
Check for other antivirus software: See if there's any other antivirus software installed on your computer, as it can cause conflict.
Alternatively, we suggest you to repair AVG and check again.
