EM client blocked by AVG

EM client is blocked by AVG free. I was considering getting paid version but this bug is unacceptable. I will have to uninstall AVG free instead of paying for full version. If I turn off email shield email gets through to EM client. Turn email shield back on and email through EM client is again blocked by AVG. If you have a fix within the next few minutes I will go with AVG. If not I will have to find another security app.

Hi Jim,

This isn't the experience we want you to have. We'd like to look into this & help you.
Please try to add an exclusion for EM Client from future AVG scans & check if it helps.

The only way AVG free will allow email to be recieved through EM Client is to turn off email shield. I had intended to get your more extensive security suite, but this is a deal breaker unless you have a fix for it now, I will need to go back to using Norton Security even though it limits to 5 devices.
You have obviously been aware of this for some time as many others have had the same issue with your software.

Jim, sorry for the inconvenience.
We'd request you to reinstall AVG free completely and verify that it resolves the issue.

Already tried to uninstal, re install. No change.

Hello Jim. Thank you very much for taking the time communicate with AVG and I apologize for the delayed response. My name is Shawn and I am writing to you on behalf of the AVG Senior Support team. I will help you.

I understand you are experiencing some disruption with your email client not sending/receiving email when the mail shield in AVG AntiVirus is enabled, but you are able to send/receive email through your client when the mail shield is disabled.

So that I may better understand the disruption you are experiencing, I am going to need some more clarifying information.

What email client are you using, and are you receiving any error notification from your AVG AntiVirus? You are welcome and encouraged to include any supporting screenshot(s) of your experienced disruption, will be most helpful.

And to expedite your time, in the event you are receiving an "invalid server certificate" notification, the following AVG article, https://is.gd/mssBVq, provides a detailed troubleshoot to help resolve this disruption.

Good luck. Let me know how this works for you. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Shawn
