I have AVG Ultimate Multi Platform and have set up Secure VPN on 3 devices, 1xWin10, 2xAndroid10. I have two problems; 1. On my Android devices it seems if I turn off WiFi switch to 4G the VPN prevents access to the internet. 2. I want to use Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ but none work when connected to the VPN on any device. I have tried different locations, Wonderland, Gotham City, Johannesburg, London all have the same problem. What can I do if anything to stream using AVG VPN? Seems the only use is when I'm away from my home network on public WiFi and can't use my device to watch movies through my paid streaming service. Regards Rob
We're glad to look into this & help you. Certain streaming services has taken counter measures to block its users from accessing its content through Secure VPN servers. While we do continue to add new servers and ip addresses, they are quite fast to identify the same. However, you can try connecting to other streaming servers such as Gotham city in AVG Secure VPN & check if it helps. Regarding the issue on your mobile devices, we do have a specialized team who deals with mobile queries. Many thanks. So the only option is to switch off the VPN when using those streaming services. Made easier with the Split Tunneling feature so my device is not completely unprotected.
Yes I am able to stream Netflix and Prime, not tried Disney Plus as this on a different device but expect that to work. So you are aware another app I have to uncheck from VPN streaming is the Google app. It too will not load when VPN is prtecting it.
Yes I can stream those services. I also noticed the Google App does not load when protected by the Secure VPN. An aside, My subscription route on my android devices is Free -> upgraded to Internet Security -> upgraded to Ultimate. See the screenshot attached, there are two VPN options,; 1. VPN Protection in the main navigator section, 2. AVG Secure VPN in the 'MORE BY AVG' navigator section. What is the difference?

We're sorry for the inconvenience caused, Rob.
Could you confirm if you're you able to access the streaming applications when the split tunneling feature is enabled?
