How do I stop all these god damn AVG notifications! I'm not talking about virus notifications, but it's AVG's over aggressive advertising... you don't have this turned on... everyone can see your internet activity and you need VPN... early renewal (3 months in advance)... early renewal.... early renewal... over and over again. Its firkin' ridiculous and some of it boarders on phishing!

Been there , done that. Doesn't stop the daily early renewal reminders. Doesn;t stop the annoying bouncing red warning dot in settings that my internet activity is visible. My message to your management team is basically stop these practices or you'll loose more customers like me.

This is the popup that I keep getting. I've already turned off everything under settings->general->personal privacy. I don't want to turn on silent mode because I still want to see alerts.Like Jordan, I don't want a paid-for application trying to sell me more!

I started the whole discussion chain with my own original seperate post, so now you want me to start another post? This cumbersome support process only magnifies the overall disrespect AVG shows it's customers - I can't reply directly to support emails - it's a do not reply email - and I can't add comments to my own forum post chain. I give up. It's obvious from the other user comments that the early renewal notifications are another of AVG's over agressive marketing tactics that have to be addressed at the macro level, not the individual user settings level. I'm moving on to another software provider and advise all AVG users to do the same until AVG gets the message and scales back on it's marketing tactics.
We are really sorry for the confusion caused. This isn't the expected behavior of AVG program when we set stop offers in privacy settings.
In order to analyze the root cause, we request you to get connected with our additional support. An email instruction has been sent which will help you to get connected. Thank you.
