Disable Email Scanning

I am trying to disable email scanning on the basic version of AVG antivirus, but all the tutorials I'm finding online seem outdated because I can't find the menus they're talking about. Can someone walk me though the steps to disabling email scanning, specifically for the Spark email app on Mac?

Hello Tate,

If you don't want AVG to scan your inbound emails, you can disable the email shield/component of your AVG Antivirus Free.
However, we do not recommend disabling an AVG Antivirus shield.
Refer to this article to disable a shield/component of AVG Antivirus Free.

Tate, I am sorry the link was not working for you but it is loading fine at our end. The instructions you were looking at earlier was for Windows. For your convenience, I am providing the steps below:

If you want to disable email shield, click the 'Web & Email' tile, and then click green (ON) slider above the shield name, enter your password that you use when you start your Mac, then click OK. The slider changes to red (OFF), indicating that the shield is disabled.

Please also let us know what is the exact reason you are trying to disable email shield.
