Good day, when I am trying to update my Sage 50 software I am receiving the following message setup.exe is being blocked because it is infected with IDP.Alexa.53 and also SA_20210CP1.exe because it was infected with IDP.Generic. I've seen this asked a few times, but have seen no resolution. Is this a real threat or is this something that I don't need to worry about?

I get this error message along with one that says 'We've blocked setup.exe because it was infected with IDP.Alexa.53. I've called Sage and they state that the software is not infected and receommend that I turn off the anti virus until i download the most recent update... however I do not know how to turn off the antivirus software. Please offer some advice here. I've never been not able to update my software. Thank you
Appreciate your efforts in sharing us the screenshot, Hayley. Sometimes, this might be a false positive. In this regard, we'd suggest you to submit a false positive request via this link. Once yu submit the request a group of analysts will review the file & whitelist it, if it is found to be safe or goes through the clean notes of AVG. It isn't recommended to install the program without knowing the legitimacy. Thank you for your understanding in advance!
Hello. I have recently seen this. It was only ten minutes ago, that it said, 'Threat blocked. We've blocked powershell.exe because it was infected with IDP.ALEXA.53. Can you help me? It has gone now, because I moved it to quarantine.
