From your description, we assume that you've enabled the User interface password for your AVG Antivirus, which you can set to protect access to the application and/or the application settings.
Regrettably, the AVG User interface password cannot be reset.
Please refer to this article for detailed instructions to regain access to AVG Antivirus without a password.
