I cannot print,my computer recognizes the printer but since AVG was installed it does not have a connection.I have seen similar problems on this forum but my AVG does not have a menu setting. Please advise.
We're glad to look into this & help you. Please let us know the operating system & version of AVG that is installed on your computer. To check the version of AVG, you can : Go to control panel - Programs - Programs & features - version would be listed beside AVG.
Firstly, could you specify whether you're facing this issue on both your Windows and Mac devices? Secondly, please specify the service pack version of your Windows 7 operating system. Thirdly, let's temporarily disable the individual shields/components of your AVG Internet Security one by one and narrow down which shield/component is causing the issue. Refer to this article for detailed instructions to temporarily disable the individual shields/components of your AVG Internet Security. Keep us updated.
I can't quite replicate the issue. When I turned off the AVG I had access to the printer. The access to the printer remained for some time, until I went away on a trip. When I returned it was back offline. I wasn't able to go through the steps because I accidentally disabled the main AVG again.
Is this the only way to isolate the problem? It may take a long time. Please don't close the ticket.
