AVG is blocking my emails after update

AVG is blocking my emails in and out after update.  The only way to get emails through is completely turn off email protection. Tried uninstalling, rebooting & reinstalling & rebooting to same effect.
Windows11, AVG Free 22.8.3250 (build 22.8.7500.439)

Greetings,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
Please let us know how you access your mailbox. Is it through browser or email client?
Also, clarify what happens exactly while sending emails with Email shield enabled. Do you receive any error message?
If so, please share us the screenshot of it for better clarity.

Windows 11, Thunderbird for email, my Surfshark VPN is off.

After last AVG program update no in or outbound mail.  Tried unchecking settings boxes a for the Email shield & that did nothing.  If I turned off AVG or Email Shield button I received and could send emails.

With Email Shield on but Scan outbound with check in box mail will not send and receive this message…
Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server Securesmtp.siteprotect.com timed out. Try again or contact your network administrator.

With Email Shield on but Scan inbound with check in box mail will not download.  Just shows contacting server but not downloading to failure message.

Removed AVG and used AVG clear then installed a January version it worked fine. After I rebooted it updated automatically to the current version and it blocked in & outbound again. Tried unchecking settings boxes for the Email shield so NO inbound or outbound scanning & that worked with Email Shield button on & I can receive and could send emails.

I've got same problem with Windows 10. After last AVG app update, I have to turn off AVG's "web & email" to be able to get emails.
Have currently got a support ticket going, but it sure looks like something done in 22.8.7500.439 that's causing this!
