Pop-up for purchase of AVG Pro won't go away


My Pro version trial expired.and now when I start AVG,it says that my trial has ended and that I have to buy the pro version to stay protected and there is no way to use the other functions of AVG free. I have installed AVG  free version, but it won't help get rid of the message. In another post it was suggested to uninstall AVG Protection and AVG PC TuneUp, however, I have a paid version of AVG PC tune up and don't want to uninstall it. Is there anyway I can get rid of the "trial has ended" message and actually be able to use AVG antivirus free like a normal user without having to download the Pro version?

    Thank you for providing the screenshot of the AVG program list in the control panel.
    The program with name only as "AVG" is the Zen interface.
    You have installed the latest AVG Zen program and on the Protection component the trial version of AVG Internet Security would have got installed and for which you are getting this buy now popup.
    As per our record you have purchased the license for AVG PC TuneUp, so we request you to remove this Zen program using the AVG Remover tool and then install the AVG PC TuneUp for which you have purchased the license.

    1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
    2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
    3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
    NOTE: Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C: drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
