PC TuneUP will not start

I've just installed the latest PC TuneUp on my Windows 10 64bit. But when I try to start the program I just get the Start Up window without any content but the "just wait a moment-arrow". Nothing happens.
I can reach all the sub-programmes directly using their exe-files, but not the main programme. I have tried to reinstall and to repair but without any luck. What's going wrong here?

Hello Torben. I request you to click this link http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/TuneUp_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG PC TuneUp remover tool and then install fresh copy of AVG PC TuneUp and you will be good to go. Thank you.

Thank you for the advice. But it did not work. I have used the remover tool and - although the tool seemed to have removed almost nothing but the link to the main programme - I reinstalled. However, the result is the same. When starting the TuneUp window is still just waiting - and waiting.
What to do then?

I also had this problem AVG PC Tuneup would not start on my pc but other things of it like diskcleaner.exe, DiskExplorer.exe etc. would start. I tried to disable the program from services and then enabled  and then restart it again, it seemed to work for me. Just go to Run and type "services.msc" and stop the AVG Pc TuneUp Service on the list. and then start the service again by right clicking and click on start.On the left pane you will see "Restart the service" click on it. It should work by now. If it not then restart your computer and try again. Try to open other programs of it. Probably it will happen after few trys.

We appreciate your efforts in trying to fix the issue. Go to control panel -> programs and features -> uninstall -> AVG PC Tuneup -> provide us the version it listed there.

I've had this happen a couple of times. Initially I uninstalled and then re-installed. The second time I went to Control panel> Apps> AVG PC Tuneup> Modify> Yes (to AVG setup)> Repair. This worked.

(Note it is now <left-click> rather than <right-click> on App  (Program) in control panel.)
