No luck at all, even after Kiran from your Support Center remotely tried to remove/reinstall AVG.
Seeing as how BOTH AVG and PC Tuneup failed to install with the SAME error code,
I figured it was Windows at fault. And what could cause an installation error in Windows ??
The Windows Installation Wizard, of course !! So I ran the WindowsXP Installation Wizard
(WindowsXP-KB942288-v3-x86.exe) and now I'm a happy camper again.
Both reinstalled OK....maybe this will help somebody else, too.
You don't suppose that AVG would reward me with a free upgrade on both products, do you Ratheesh ??

Hi David May - - You dont have to uninstall you whole windows. Sometimes the system that we run in our Pc's claim to be x64 but some programs still find them to be x32. I have solved this problem for many people in our area that purchased the AVG and had the error code
0xc0070641 Event exec_finished......

So how do you solve this? All you have to do is check your operating system if its x64 and try your install. If the installation fails, then try to run a x32 bit program of AVG. I am sure it will work! Sorry about my English. Cheers
