Winsock error

Hi!
Hope your day is starting-off well!

Problem: Web Easy Pro 8, which I purchased years ago through Avanquest:
Love it!
Worked fine!
UNTIL > I just updated the AVG (antivirus) into the 2016 Version / Free and now I get a notice "Winsock error" (no identification of which one, and I cannot upload files into the server (000webhost.com). Also, when I go to connect online with them... the browser address, instead of going to login or my account > goes to http://error.000webhost.com/ < and I cannot navigate the page even though the page seems alive.

Everything else seems to navigate and open okay... and I see non other problems at the moment with the computer.

I have run the AVG antivirus... returned all to the DEFAULT SETTINGS... run a scandisk and I have the same problem.

Any ideas?
Suggestions?
Others with the same problem?

I personally have no idea on how to undo a "Winsock error  I am not totally lost with a PC, however, I do not find in Google step-by-step instructions on how to undo / correct the error. Only those blogs that runs between informed people. Also, I found on Google a freeware listing, referred in one of the blogs; but it stated that they knew it worked with Windows XP (as it is an older fix) > however they were no sure it worked with Windows VISTA. And I have Windows Vista.

Thus, I am =? But definitely need my Webeasy back-up and running...

Can you help me in some way?
Appreciate it sincerely, if you can!
Thanks & Have a Great Day!

Hi!

Seems like AVG may have nothing to do with it at all; other then, I upgraded at the same time the hosting facility went down ( 000webhost <dot> com). A few minutes ago, I discovered on Facebook that their servers got infiltrated and data of clients was stolen. Thus, after going to their web address, I realized that their page, seemingly ok, was actually not responsive to any commands or requests.

Sorry for the false flag on my part! It all happened at the same moment; and thus, being a novice I related the new installation with the problem and advisory "Winsock error". While updating AVG... they apparently cut-off the servers and Windows picked it up as an internal error. Sound logical?

Thank you for your help! I have always been impressed with AVG's quality in protecting my lifestyle :-)
