AVG free download

Tried to install AVG free, but got error code 0xe0060038 then tried to down load the download software and got error code 0xE006001C please help

Hello Stephen,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I would request you to run our AVG remover tool once and then try installing the program. Please follow the below mentioned instructions:
1) First step is to use AVG Remover tool and uninstall your AVG program completely. To download AVG Remover Tool please click on the following link:http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2) Run the downloaded tool and follow the instructions displayed on your screen.

3) Your computer will be restarted automatically. After the restart, AVG Remover will finish the uninstallation.
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the C drive and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.

Thankyou for your advice however before I start how do I know whether to use 32 or 64 bit

would I still be able to download avg antivirus with an active antivirus of a different make on the computer in order to replace it?

Hello Stephen.
It is not recommended to run more than one anti virus simultaneously as they might conflict with each other and degrades the system performance. We would request you to uninstall the conflicting anti virus and then try to install AVG. Thank you.

Iam still failing to download the AVG Antivirus. My fear is if I uninstall the previous Antivirus software and I still fail to download AVG I may be exposed. Is it failing to download because its already protected?

Hello Stephen,

We request you to turn on the Windows Firewall after uninstalling the previous antivirus program so that it will protect your PC from threats and then you can try installing our AVG program. If you get any issues with the installation please do let us know with the complete error message that you get for the installation. Thank you.
