Real Estate Pipeline issues with MLS website/email after AVG 2015?

Hi AVG Team
Since I have installed my AVG 2015 I am having problems with internet explorer and more importantly my outlook email having problems sending and receiving emails. I can't tell if it's something on my end, my companies firewall settings, or that AVG was just recently installed. That means that my real estate clients pipeline leads are frozen as result since I can't access my email and see or respond to new prospects emails or past clients.
My tech guy tells me I should restart with a new operating install but I'm afraid I might lose important information that I won't ever be able to retrieve.
What would you guys do?
