avg error code 0xE001C046 2014

i am recieving this error after trying to uninstall zen i can not install the free edition of avg.  any suggestions or  help?  i have already restarted.


running windows 8.1

okay guys so i  figured it out and now my problem is solved here is what i did

if you still have any avg programs install - manually uninstall them with the programs control panel
next if you have complete removed all of the avg programs go to the official avg website and install AVG ZEN - once avg zen has install - even if your trial ended with it.. still install AVG ZEN

let AVG FULLY INSTALL... AND MANUALLY REMOVE IT WITH THE PROGRAMS CONTROL PANEL REMOVE PROGRAMS.

UNSTALL ALL OF AVG COMPONENTS   MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE BOX FOR THE REMOVE OF ANY ADDITIONAL FOLDERS/VAULT

ONCE IT IS UNINSTALL. RESTART AND DOWNLOAD THE FREE AVG 2014 



 THE PROGRAMS I USED 
CCLEANER
MALBYTES  

SCAN AND CHECK TO ANY REGISTER ERRORS. BEFORE YOU START THE PROCESS

okay... i used the avg remover tool hoping this will clean up any problems... if so i will update

i just decided to reinstall zen.. i guess whenit expires it will disappear? i still see the app when the free trail is done. i don't want to see it in my apps

i was able to reinstall zen... but it reads that my protection has expire. but 2014  is out of date and needs to be updated. it cant update due to the connection error. i went to my firewall and allowed the program through but still the error presists

okay i'm in  north america - US.  i used the remover tool and the error is now back at the same error.

i did a malbytes scan and no malware was found. and i used the free registry ccleaner .. everything seems to be in order it seems to be only a connection issue

Same here. I kept getting a new version availabe although I already had 2014 FREE. I uninstalled but now I am unable to reinstall, keep getting the same error. Win7 Pro. USA. I'll have to try Avast as I need to be online for the next 7 hours anh I don't like being out there nakid.......

my problems have gotten complicated... now i am unable to uninstall zen because it says i need to uninstall avg 2014 first... i see that come of the processes are still running in my computers and there is left over data still there. this really impossible. - i used the remover tool not it is NOT removing it

reinstalling zen and then i will see if i can manually uninstall both avg zen and 2014.

FINALLY. i got it to update. after using ccleaner... reinstalling zen... i am now uninstalling all of avg 2014 even the vaults. i will be removing zen next... hopefully the reinstall goes smooth if so.. i will share my steps with you guys.

 i can not get any AVG to uninstall at all  i have AVG AVG 2015 and AVG tuneup  everytime i try it says please wait until program in finished???   i need protection please help ASAP
