AVG Antivirus free edition 2015 reports that it is turned off

Windows security center (Vista)
reports that the malware protection is turned off
When I click on to turn on AVG reports update completed succesfully but
security center shows the malware is still switched off. why

Please first make sure that you are properly setup to work properly Vista Security Center (If you need to fix it)

If you continue to receive communication from the Security Center, that your antivirus turned off
Then please reinstall AVG thus
