Hi, I have 2015 AVG Ultimate and every time it does a scheduled or manual scan it reports back with 196 threats that belong to folders that I've excluded in advanced options. I want it to stop reporting them to me. I've chatted with tech support but they just tried to help me add an exception (which I had already done). I already have the exceptions set up and it doesn't do anything with what it finds, but I don't want it to scan those locations at all. This would save time on the scan and stop making me think I have problems that I really don't. Does anyone have any ideas? TIA!
Hi Chris, What you can see in scan results are not detection, but notifications (it just informs you that those files are not scanned). You can disable them in Advanced AVG settings / in settings of particular scan click on "Set additional scan reports..." and untick "Report files or folders in Exceptions list as excluded". Thanks
Hello Chris, I would request you to go to the exception list that you have already added and click on all the exceptions and in the below you will have an option called "Edit" please click on it. A small window will get opened up in that please check all the boxes and finally click on "Ok". Once you have done with this please scan your system once, you won't be getting the threat notifications from your excluded files.
Please feel free to contact us back should you need any further assistance.
Well I did that while on the chat with tech support and ran a scan immediately after. It still found the "threats" but it did not take action on them. Any other ideas to get it to completely ignore those exceptions? It's not very productive for it to show me the same false alerts every time. Thanks!
