can't shred recycle bin

This has been asked before but I don't see any resolutions.

Sometimes when I try to shred the recycle bin I get an error saying I don't have enough access rights.
I am the only user defined and have admin authority.

I don't see an option to upload the diagnostic info. After I close this post I'll try to update it & attach the file.

Nope, I still don't see the option to attach a file. The diag tool says the file is small & doesn't need to be FTPed.

Mungo, Please run the tool once again. The diagnostic output should be auto sent to AVG. If that fails you could upload to the AVG FTP server or resort to a 3rd party server such as dropbox. For typical info have a look thro' this link (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000D4ZvAAK).

the similar question I found said to run msinfo. That doesn't have an upload function.

Today I ran sysinfo & it did upload the file.

AVG received the log but didn't know why Apparently they didn't receive the .png with the error message. My notes describing the problem including this post # didn't arrive either.

I tried several times to reply to their email but it got bounced.

I'll try again.

I created a new log file, sent it with 2 files for documentation. This post Id is in the txt file.
The sysinfo utility is very strange. It took 2 hours to run the first time. Today it ran for over 4 hours so I stopped it. The last time it ran in under 10 minutes !     However this file is only 9MB, the first one was much larger, approx 50 MB.

Hi Mungo,
I have escalated your case, you should be contacted via email.
Thanks

No email yet. The error still happens with 2015 IS.  The problem first occured with 2014 free.

Hi Mungo,
I see message send to you after this post. Did you received it?
Thanks

Thanks for checking. Yes I got the email. Before applying the fix I have been trying to recreate the problem. Unfortunately I couldn't recreate it after deleting many files.

just now I ran your admin reset program. I can shred the recycle bin but I'm not really sure if the
problem is fixed or not.

I'll keep testing and if the problem doesn't reoccur in a week you can close the ticket.

Thanks, Earl

Ok, let us know if it occurs again.
Thanks
