CCleaner does not conflict with AVG

The article Applications in conflict with AVG (July 9, 2014) lists CCleaner:

Issue: CCleaner removes AVG history file, log files and scan history.
Solution: We recommend to uninstall CCleaner to resolve the issue.

I installed the latest version of CCleaner Free (v4.17.4808) precisely because I wanted to remove AVG scan history and event history (for reasons explained elsewhere). I was disappointed because CCleaner did not remove them! It might possibly have removed some log files, I don't really know or care. It definitely did remove about 4 GB of junk from my system, including AVG junk files in c:\windows\temp that PC TuneUp leaves behind. I would recommend CCleaner to AVG users for that reason. Hi Marvin,

The CCleaner was added to the list based on our user feedback. Quite a lot customers were complaining that their AVG history and log files are being regularly wiped out.

I'm passing your feedback to the responsible team as the behavior of CCleaner changed.

Thank you,

Jan

Thanks Jan. The article was revised September 19 and no longer lists CCleaner.
