Windows 10 Mail App Error - 0x80072726

Hi,
I recently updated to Windows 10 and I get a 0x80072726 error when trying to sync my GMAIL account within the MAIL app. A trawl through the net last night and I came across a post on this forum which suggested it was a known problem and AVG were looking into it. However, when I checked back today the post had gone but my issue remains (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b00000004wm1AAA).
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Cheers
Simon

Hello Si. We were under schedule maintenance for our technical support process and that is the reason there is a delay in response and that is the reason your previous post got disappeared. I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Now we are done with our maintenance and you can contact us 24/7.

This issue has already been raised by many of our users and we found a fix for it.  Please try repair of AVG by downloading the repair package from below link:

For 32-bit: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG/avg_isc_x86_all_2015_6134p1.exe
For 64-bit: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG/avg_isc_x64_all_2015_6134p1.exe

Download and run the file and make sure that your AVG program is already installed on your PC. You will get the option as "REPAIR" please select it and continue with the onscreen instructions and you won't be having any issues after this. Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for coming back to me; I have run the update and the problem has now been resolved.

I should say, it wasn't completely straightforward as mentioned above because it crashed the first time I ran it*. However it did appear to fix the mail app temporarily (i.e. it downloarded some mail) but then I completely lost the ability to connect to the Internet via wifi;
Despite multiple reboots and a failed attempt at a system restore I ended up running the repair package a second time which eventually resolved the issue.

*I do have the error log from the crash, but don't understand what is in the log so not comfortable uploading directly here (no offence, I just haven't posted on many forums so unclear of who can see the data ). If you contact me directly, I am happy to mail it.

Thanks again.

Si
