Hi

I have the PAID version of AVG Internet Security.
I am experincing the same problem and have been unable to resolve it.
I have tried several times to restart, but the same message "update Required" shows up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lalit, we're here to help.
Please confirm which version of AVG Internet Security program is installed on your PC to proceed further.

I completely uninstalled and ran the uninstall program (AVG_Remover) and then reinstalled and its all ok now. It also unexpectedly solved a Firewall problem I've had with Forticlient, which I appreciate.

And the application has a completely new look and feel, which I appreciate.

Lalit, thank you for confirming.
You are using an older version of AVG. We'd request to run AVG Remover tool as described in the link below to uninstall older version completely and re install the latest version:

@Lalit, did you uninstall the older version and install latest version of AVG Internet Security as per our instructions?

@Joe, please check if it is an older version of AVG that you are using. If yes, please upgrade to latest version to resolve the issue.

@H McCord, we regret for the inconvenience caused. We'd request to post your own query to validate your account details and provide further assistance. Please also include the details about which version of AVG program and Windows OS that you are using.

Many thanks.
NO, I have not done this, as reading some of the above comments, I do not want any of my files LOCKED!!!
I have always updated by PAID version of AVG Interenet security, so I am not sure why you are stating that I am using an Older version.
FYI - this problem only occured over the past couple of days. If my version was an old version, then surely the problem would have bee highlighted much earlier.

What is the latest version that I should be using???
-980888528-980888528 (Avast)
Lalit,

You should have AVG 18.6. The screenshot shows 16.16 and that's why we recommended you to reinstall it.

Please use AVG Clear and remover tools using above links to uninstall and reinstall your AVG product.

We are here if you need further assistance.

Many thanks for the information.
I have been using AVG for thelast fifteen years.
I have always updated the software, amlost everyday.
Not sure why this has not updated to the latest version?
Could you please confirm, Installing the latest version , will not restrict access to any files on my computer?

KarthikeyanKarthikeyan (Foundever)
We can confirm you that installing latest version of AVG will not restrict access to any files on your computer.

If you are using data safe, please restore all the files from the vault before updating to the latest version because the latest version of AVG does not have the data safe feature.
