Jan Faber AVG drivers update
I have AVG anti virus and tune-up for years and am very happy with it. So I decided to get driver update as well a couple of weeks ago. My computer got completely screwed up, start menu started showing up instead of desk top, lost all icons ,very slow, trouble starting ect.Malware Anti Malware detected a PUP virus in several places.After eliminating it kept re-appearing so I finally uninstalled everything and re-installed Windows 10 and then AVG Anti virus and Tune-up as well as Malware Anti malware as well as some other programs. After each download I checked with Malware. All clean!! So finally today I decided to re-install AVG drivers update. Guess what? PUP VIRUS IS BACK!!! Nice going AVG! A virus in your own product? And AVG anti virus only detected it during the uninstall of Drivers Update. Please advice. I immediately uninstalled Drivers update and hope the virus has not infected other files

Please try downloading the AVG Driver Updater installation file http://files-download.avg.com/dur/AVG_Driver_Updater_Setup_11_3.exe from this link and let us know whether any threat detection popup appears.

Just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
We can see that the driver update is detected as a threat by the Malwarebytes program.
Did you get this threat detection when you tried installing the AVG Driver Updater using the link provided before?
Please uninstall Slim cleaner utilities and check if you receive any PUP infections.
Could you please check on the C:\ drive Program data folders whether any "Slim Cleaners Utilities" folders present?
