Error code: 0xc00702e4

I'm getting a pop up box that states the following, can anyone help out?

avgcfex.exe - Bad Image
avgcmil.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original media.

I tried this and it failed, another box opened in the lower right corner of the screen and stated " udpate failed general error.
I am running Windows 7 Professional service pack 1

We regret for the inconvenience caused to you, this may be due to missing/ corrupted files at the time of update. We can resolve this issue by performing a re-installation of your AVG program.

Now click on this link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=30679 , select "download" , choose both "VSU_4\vcredist_x86.exe", "VSU_4\vcredist_x64.exe" files to download and run it.

Then click this link http://www.avg.com/us-en/download to download your AVG program, run the downloaded file to start the installation process and follow the instructions on your screen.
