After this please restart the PC and follow the below link to install AVG free Antivirus.

Tried the suggested clear and remover, and installer, but does not work.
Good luck. After a half day testing I will move elsewhere...

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issue with AVG installation. Please let us know which AVG program you want to install, also let us know if you have used both AVG Remover tool and AVG Clear tool.

I was using the offlive avg installer (2017 version) and the installer stuck at 97%)
I had the internet cut off.
As soon as I got the internet connected again, I waited a bit and then the installation finished.
I assume that it's about some components that require internet to install (such as boot time scan).
Please fix that AVG so that the offline installer can be truly offline installer with all components!
