I WANT TO PERMANENTLY AND COMPLETELY UNINSTALL FREE VERSION AVG

I am using the removal tool because it WILL NOT UNINSTALL FROM THE CONTROL PANEL, but after the RESTART I can STILL SEE AVG protection in MY LIST OF PROGRAMS.  I am presently running the removal tool again, and it said it didn't detect any active AVG products YET THERE IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It asked if I wanted to "run anyway", so I have, and I am hoping it will GET RID OF THE PROGRAM FOR GOOD.  I can't for the LIFE of me imagine WHY you would create it so that the USER HAS NO CONTROL OVER WHETHER OR NOT TO CONTINUE USING IT, but HERE WE ARE!  I know I'm not the first to ask, but I want it OFF my computer--- NOW!

Francisco try this. Reinstall avg free antivirus. Then go into advanced settings and disable both avg protection settings. Then go into your contol panel add/remove programs and uninstall it. Then download the avg remover tool from avg's website. Put computer into safe mode and then run the avg remover tool. If you still have a problem post back.  Avg can be extremely hard to remove but i think i know most of the ways to do it.

Hello Francisco,
We regret for the inconvenience. Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG and its traces.

Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No"
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer"
Once you reboot the PC, please remove AVG folders manually as suggested below. Go to Run window (press windows key and R key simultaneously) and type the following comments to delete the folders.

1. Type “Temp” and press enter, remove all the files.
2. “%temp%” and remove all the files.
3. %appdata% - Remove all the AVG folders.
4. %programdata% - Open the AVG folder and remove the old files.

Please go to c: drive-> program files and delete the AVG files . Feel free to contact us for any further assistance.

Thank you.

AND WHY IN THE HELL SHOULD IT BE SO DIFFICULT TO UNINSTALL A PROGRAM IN THE FIRST PLACE?????????????  Now I have to PAY to have my computer FIXED and to have your program wiped completely off of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I will SO be going onto EVERY forum available to tell EVERYONE about this!  There is NO GOOD REASON for it!  NONE.
Francisco UnverferthFrancisco Unverferth
How do I know it is uninstalled?  I couldn't even know which files to remove, and if I tried to remove ALL files as instructed, some were not allowed to be deleted or removed.  I also just received a prompt to send some feedback to you when THERE SHOULD BE NO TRACE OF AVG ON MY COMPUTER!

Hello Francisco,
We certainly understand your concern. We apologize. You can run the remover and manually remove the AVG files from the C Drive. If you get any error message please send us a screenshot  http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot to analyze and assist you further.
Thank you.

I don't think you DO understand my concern.  There is NO JUSTIFIABLE reason that this program cannot be uninstalled in the same manner as EVERY OTHER PROGRAM in my list of programs.  I have USED the remover (didn't work).  I also used the cleaner (didn't work).  I don't see AVG in my list of programs anymore, but ONCE AGAIN, I just received an AVG prompt telling me something with AVG didn't work and asking if I wanted to sent it to AVG for review?  Now... HOW CAN THAT BE, if AVG has BEEN UNINSTALLED from MY computer??????????????????????????
Francisco UnverferthFrancisco Unverferth
So... even though I've deleted the remover and that cleaner now (supposedly), I still receive messages from AVG, and I am supposed to DOWNLOAD the remover AGAIN?  You explain to me WHY it should be THIS hard to uninstall a program that was so easy to install and which came with no warnings that it would be this difficult to remove or that it was IMPOSSIBLE to UNINSTALL?  EXPLAIN THAT!

I am not going through the process of taking a screenshot that you suggest.

I am looking at it on my screen right now.  AVG logo.  In a window labeled AVG diagnostics.

Reads as follows:

Following AVG processes failed:
avguix.exe

Would you like to send the report to AVG for analysis?

"Yes" button.  "No" button.

That would be the third time I've seen this since we began this conversation, and since I have been trying to REMOVE THIS PROGRAM FROM MY COMPUTER FOR THE PAST 4 HOURS!

AND WHY AM I STILL GETTING MESSAGES ABOUT AVG when it is no longer in my program list and it has supposedly been deleted/uninstalled from my computer??????????????????????????????????????????
Bhuvaneswari VairavanBhuvaneswari Vairavan (Avast)
Hello Francisco,
We understand your concern. Sometimes, AVG Services will be running at the background. So, please try removing the AVG traces with remover tool in Safe mode.
Thank you.
Francisco UnverferthFrancisco Unverferth
I can understand the customer service jargon, and that you somehow "understand my concern", but when you don't answer questions about how it can be UNINSTALLED and yet NOT uninstalled, it makes people like me furious.  When you don't bother to explain WHY a program you offer for free REFUSES to be UNINSTALLED, it makes people like me furious, and it also makes you (the people producing this software) rather suspicious and untrustworthy.  So, I can't trust that it is no longer on my computer because it APPEARS to be gone, and THAT means I have to take it in and have a professional look at it and maybe blank the whole disk and start all over again JUST to make sure your software actually IS no longer on my computer.  See how that concern has NOT been addressed by you?  But you say you understand my concern?  Not true.  You undervalue your customer base and overvalue your service.  You disrespect the people who have shown an interest in the product you produce.  If it is easy to install?  And there are no warnings?  It should be just as easy to uninstall.  WHY isn't it?  EXPLAIN THAT.

Hello Fransico,
We do understand your concern. Please be informed that sometime the AVG program will work along with other applications on your PC inorder to protect your PC. In that case the AVG program will run on the background along with other applications. Also there might be several AVG program installed on your PC such as AVG Secure Search toolbar or AVG WebTuneUp program which will remain on your PC even after uninstalling other AVG program's. Those program's will protect your browsers and they couldn't be initiated after the uninstallation of the Free program. That might be the reason you could have received the error message.
Since we have to analyze the exact issue we have requested for the screenshot. We have also sent you an email to collect necessary samples inorder to analyze the issue. Please reply back to the same email so that we could assist you better.
Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you, Rick.  I will not be doing that.  And given that the only thing I have to take a screenshot of for you to have a sample has already been sent to you for analysis and clearly explained here, I don't believe I'll be doing anything that you've suggested Kishore.  Thank you for taking the time to explain something about why it is next to IMPOSSIBLE to uninstall the software provided.  Makes no sense given I've installed and unistalled OTHER free virus protection WITHOUT THE SLIGHTEST HITCH!  It's just your software that has caused problems.  I'll take that as a sign of its worth and a sign of your trustworthiness.
