Safeguard Toolbar/security search

System Win 10 Int Expl 11-Both Toolbar and sec search not active- both installed.  Toolbar in c/program Files.4.33MB. in browser tool tab not activated(enabled in add ons) .  Sec Search installed in Search provider (enabled) not active. Control Panel contains AVG (size 0) Installed 3.25.2017 -1.162.2.62416---AVG Protection (715MB ) installed 3.26.2017 17.2.3008.             How do I activate Safeguard Toolbar and Secure Search.?

Sorry to know that you have issues in installing AVG Secure search.
Have you tried to activate AVG secure add-in in your default web browser?
Please let us know the name of the default web browser also.

Thank you for providing us the information, we would like to inform you that Safeguard Toolbar has been discontinued, also we request you to remove the AVG Secure Search http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG-Toolbar-homepage-and-Secure-Search-from-your-browser if you have already installed it. If you have not installed it yet, please download and install it from http://www.avg.com/us-en/download

We understand your concern. You can download and install the AVG Web TuneUp from this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Install-AVG-Web-TuneUp and this toolbar is same as AVG secure search for Windows 10 computer.

After remote assistance (4) times have now got  AVG Antivirus Free 2017 and Web Tune up (enabled)Homepage with a second Tab leading to Secure search. Addons  indicated on your Web site referring to AVG Web Tuneup  ------ Safe surf indications/do not track/browser cleaner  do not exsist.   I am told the site is to be renewed.   Is AVG Free to remain basic protection. and search only safe sites from the Homepage.?

Hello Brian,
You have installed AVG Antivirus free version with basic protection features.
It will block unsafe links, downloads, & email attachments.
You have also installed AVG Secure search which will give you a private and safe browsing.

Thank for your reply.   I just wondered if in the future AVG Antivirus free version will contain safe search indication /do no track/an browser cleaner.?
