Website Certified by Unknow... / Unable to verify... / .. certificare

2 days ago, Windows 10 has been updated on my PC (I have no control on the update MS decide for me...). On the same day, AVG updated himself.

Since, when using Thunderbird, a pop up raises "Website Certified by an Unknown Authority... Unable to verify the identity of pop.gmail.com..."
The button Examine certificate shows:
"Could not verify this certificate for unknown reasons
Issued to: pop/gmail.com
...
Issued by: AVG Web/Mail Shield root
..."

I have tried to repair.
The date/time of my system is OK.
My system is recent and powerful: 16GBRam, SSD, quadcore, etc.
I could not find any hint on the net, nor on this community.
Do I'm the first one experiencing this?

Hi Alexandre,

Thank you for providing us the Screenshots. Could you please disable AVG once and then check the issue?

Thank you!

Hello again, and thank you for the quick reply.
So, when disabling the mail protection, I was able to send my mails through the local provider.
At this time, I was not able to get my gmail mails: a popup came out: "Thunderbird can't connect securely to pop.gmal....".
After mail protect disable, but before restarting thunderbird

Then I restarted thunderbird and could finally get my gmail mails.

Hi,
My mail is portable. I gave a try on a Win7 system running also AVG. Same result.
So, we can exclude an issue related to Win10 update.

Then I gave a try with my professional computer, Win7, running an other protection system.
On this computer I could read my mail, with no certificate issue.
