Mac Scanner freezes after 99%

Hi, the Mac Scanner found a threat and freezes after scanning 99%. The threat is not in the quarantine after restarting the computer.
I did that 5 times and always the same. Should I change to another program instead AVG?
Thanks for your help.

Hello Michael,
We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused. Could you please tell us the version of your MacBook OS? Also let us know the AVG version you are using in your computer, is it a paid or free version?
Share us the screenshot of the AVG scan window which stuck at 99% and also the Qurantine, it would help us to check and resolve the issue.
(To take a screenshot in MAC, please follow the below instructions : 1. To capture the entire screen, press Command-Shift-3. The screen shot will be automatically saved as a PNG file on your desktop with the filename starting with “Picture” followed by a number, example Picture 1, Picture 2, and so on.
2. To copy the entire screen, press Command-Control-Shift-3. The screen shot will be placed on your clipboard for you to paste into another program like PowerPoint, Word, Photoshop, etc.)
Thank you

Hi Gunaseelan, Hi Alan, here is the information you asked for.
MacOS Sierra 10.12.4
AVG AntiVirus Free Version 17.1
I made a screenshot at 53% of the scan..there was one threat. The quarantine is/was empty.
The 99% screenshot was made with the smartphone, because everything was frozen and I always have to restart the computer.
Hope this info will help you to find the problem.
Thanks in advance, Michael
