AVG file in program files will not delete

I want to delete AVG from my computer completely, and i swear this AV software is worse then most malware. It will not let me delete the file and says i need admin permissions to do so, i switch to admin account and it says i need my normal user permissions to delete...

Hi Daren,
We're sorry to hear that, we request you to use our removal tools AVG Clear and AVG Remover:

1. Download and run the AVG Clear tool : https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool helps remove AVG 2017 and its residual files.
2. Open the AVG Clear tool.
3. Click Yes in the User Account control dialog.
4. Click No in the Windows safe mode dialog.
5. Select the installed version of AVG.
6. Click Uninstall, then click Restart computer.
7. After restart, download and run AVG Remover http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to remove all AVG products.
8. Open AVG_Remover.exe.
9. Click Yes in the User Account control dialog.
10. Click CONTINUE to agree with AVG’s license agreement and privacy policy.

11. Select the installed version of AVG.
12. Click Remove, then click Restart to restart your PC.
13. After restart click Run in the Open file – Security Warning dialog and allow AVG Remover to remove any residual files.
14. Restart your PC again.

I had the same issue when I tried to use the recommended AVG Removal utility. I ended up reinstalling the AVG program and then simply using the Windows Control Panel 'Unistall a Program' utility to remove the program. I just had to clean up a few odds ends folders and files that remained using normal deletion. Perhaps this might work for you. Good luck!!
