Performance scan

Please would you tell me how to prevent the 'Performance scan' part of 'Scan Computer' from taking place every time a full computer scan is done.
After the scan it listed two 'out of date' pieces of software:
Firefox which is up to date.
Flash Player which is up to date.
That result doesn't give me sufficient confidence to allow the Avast performance scan (which it obviously is) to mess about with the registry.
So just to make quite sure you've got the question;
How do I stop the performance scan from taking place - ever?

Mike,
We understand your concern, currently, we do not have the option to skip/ stop a maintenance scan along with General scan.

Due to recent update with AVG programs, we made this changes and gathering recommendations from our valuable customers like you. We will definitely let our developers about this. You can share your feedback using this link: http://avgclick.me/AVGfeedback.

If you would like to scan files or folders, you can scan them separately. Go to AVG Zen-> Internet Security-> Scan settings icon (next to scan computer) -> Files and folders scan.

Thank you for your understanding.

Dear Ranjani Bakthavachalam,

I note immediately that you have failed to even mention the lack of accuracy of the 'performance scan' wrongly identifying two programs as being out of date, or my lack of confidence in its efficacy.

Yes I know I can scan the hard drive but in order to mimic 'scan computer' the parameters set for that option by Avast need to be known. Yet another hassle caused by the arrogance of the Avast team

The fact is this Avast program has been foisted upon those of us who bought 'AVG Internet Security' because we liked the way it was arranged. I did not buy Avast because I didn't like it, don't like it or want it. Only one computer here has AVG/Avast still running,  the rest are now using Bitdefender.

"We will definitely let our developers about this." Well I know what you meant to say but judging their performance so far I would think they're the last people you should tell. Unless of course you are willing to tell them to stop faffing about and give us back the brilliant original AVG Internet Security which we bought.

I should tell you that I am still able to use the original program on an older computer and update the virus definitions. So what about all your protestations that it won't work, new virus definitions no longer exist for it. etc. etc. Eh!

Incidentally there's no "understanding" here.

"A skilled AVG technician can remotely connect to your computer via a secure connection and fix the issue quickly and effectively."
You've just got to be joking. My most recent contacts with AVG Technologies have not filled me witth confidence. I have never handed over control of any of my computers to anyone, remote or not. This thought assumes even greater proportions when considering handing over control to one of you lot.

I do not require assistance. What I want is stated clearly enough for the most simple person to understand. You simply refuse to give straight answers. I have the feeling that written English, not being your first language, is not fully understood, so you just wing it.

"They would help you with the Virus definitions and the scan" Did I ask for help? No. So why is it offered?

What I, and thousands of others, want is illustrated by the attached screenshot of part of a really good internet security program. You might recognise it. Although I wonder... And just look at all that control one has in the left hand pane. Now - practically none.Scheduled scan page of a proper internet security program - not Avast rubbish

Hi Mike,
We apologize if an AVG product did not meet your expectations. Our main goal is to keep our customers happy.

Thank you!

Akash Chanda.
Please stop trying to keep up the pretence that AVG 2017 products are AVG. AVG has almost disappeared and been replaced by some bad ideas from Avast.
