AVG block mail communication

I installed AVG AntiVirus Free edition version 17.4.3014. and enabled SSL scan in e-mail protection options. When I start Outlook 2003, it report to me that it can not connect to server. I use IMAP protocol with SSL connection to mail server. How can I resolve this problem? How to change configuration in AVG or/and Outlook?
I have seen the following articles before

but it is not applicable to the new AVG version.

Hello Dos,
We understand your concern. It seems that e-mail clients can't handle AVG's certificate after the recent AVG update. Please follow the below steps and check if you are able to access server "AVG > Menu > Settings > Components > Email protection > Customize > SSL scanning > Export Certificate" and then apply exported certificate in the e-mail client. Other option is to disable scanning of e-mails using SSL encryption "AVG > Menu > Settings > Components > Email protection > Customize > SSL scanning > uncheck "Scan SSL connections" option".
Thank you

Any idea how to disable this on a Mac?  It's breaking my G-Suite email imap usage.  Serious fail by AVG.

FYI - once uninstalled and AVG completely removed from the system, my email client with G-Suite domains worked fine.  Also download/sync performance *more* than doubled.
