JAVA UPDATE SCHEDULER - jusched.exe

On my last 2 antivirus scans AVG has identified this file as a threat identifying a Trojan Horse SCGeneric2.BZP. It is supposedly healed each time but returns on the next scan. I have scanned the file with other antimalware software and used online scanners which find it to be safe/clean. Is this a false positive by AVG ?

Hello Steve,

I apologize for the inconvenience. AVG’s virus lab has confirmed that these files are false detections and has released a definition update addressing the false positives. To stop the detection(s), the virus definitions must be updated to the latest version. Please update the program manually and then check if fixes the issue.

If you still face any issues, please contact us with the screenshot http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot of the threat detection message to assist further.

OK. Last week I re-ran the scan having installed the very latest definitions and the scan found no threats.  However today when I ran the scan with this afternoon's latest definitions the same threats were found again. Whats going on ?User-added image

Steve,
I apologize for the delayed response. I am sorry to inform you that it is false detection by AVG. Hence please submit sample of the file to our developers using https://www.avg.com/submit-sample . They will check and white list those files from AVG virus definition.
Thank you.
