repair or uninstall AVG

Trying to uninstall AVG as I think it is the cause for another program I need for work being partly blocked.
Tried to uninstall it and it wouldn't uninstall..   won;t uninstall and comes up with a general error message.

Thought I'd then try repairing it before trying to uninstall.  It won't repair it and comes up with error message     Oxe0010663

How can I uninstall AVG ?

so now I'm stuck with a partly functioning antivirus... yes it keeps telling me it is out of date yet when I click the update button it says I have the latest version.

Any suggestions??

Hello Sharon,
I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.

Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No"
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer"

After restart, run AVG Remover and remove all other supported products and remnants of AVG (ZEN, Framework,...) as suggested in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG .

If it is a free version of AVG that you are using, you can re install it as per the instructions provided in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Free .

If you thing AVG is blocking an application of file, you can add it to AVG exceptions list as described in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-make-exclusions-from-all-scans-and-shields
