AVG secure VPN

Purchased AVG VPN. Instructions said open my account and it would automatically load. Opened my account, no AVG VPN. Searched further and it said to go to AVG secure VPN and log in to download VPN, that took me to this question and answer page. So how do I get the blasted VPN downloaded.

Thanks

Hello Joe,

I understand the inconvenience.
Please be informed that AVG Secure VPN can be installed only from the AVG 2017 user interface.
If you have "AVG" icon on your desktop screen please double click on it and check whether you get a window named as "AVG" or does it open as "AVG Internet Security".
Please provide the screenshot of the AVG window that you get to assist further.
To take a screenshot please follow the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV and attach the image to this post.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Joe,
Thank you for providing me the screenshot.
I see that this is the AVG Internet Security Interface. Please click on the Home Button on the top left corner and from there you can access the AVG Dashboard.
Now please follow the below instructions:
1. Click Connect in the top-right corner of the screen, then click Log in to an existing account.
2. Type your AVG email address and the password, and click Log in.
3. Now, you can click on the AVG Secure VPN tile and Click Try it free. Your license is detected at this point.
4. Click Yes to confirm installation. Restart your PC, if asked.
5. Click the OFF slider so that it changes to ON. Secure VPN drivers are installed.

Thanks. This worked. I wish the instructions at time of purchase were as thorough as yours. The time of purchase instructions left out one important step, your number 3. "Click Try it free". Since I had bought it that didn't seem a viable option. Hope AVG will add that to their instructions.
Thanks again, Joe
