Avast Safeprice Adware

My laptop is contaminated with Avast Safeprice Adware. My AVG Internet Security is not detecting it so it won't let me remove it. Can't figure out how to get it off my system.

Please be informed that Avast Safeprice is actually a browser extension that allows you to easily compare prices when shopping for products online. SafePrice selects the best prices from a database of trusted e-shops and displays them above your browser so that you don't have to leave your shopping site.

Please check whether you have Avast program installed on your PC and provide the screenshot of the prompt you getting related to "Avast SafePrice" to assist further.

The problem is, I went into My Computer to see if it was a program I could uninstall, yet it doesn't show up on my list of programs. That coupled with the way it has affected my browser by slowing it down and the fact I've never used it nor would I install it, makes it a threat. Just a quick Google search showed me I wasn't alone with this Safeprice problem.

I apologize for the delay.
You can remove the Avast Safe Price from your Browser Extension and also check if you have installed any Avast Programs. If yes, please uninstall the Avast Program and check if that resolves the issue.
