...then they can see, that this answer is a canned answer with an empty promise, because you have answered the same thing one year ago. So AVG does not want to stop these annoying popup ads.
AVG interrupts us many times a day during our work with their unwanted popups. I don't believe that if you are really "working on this" like you said, because your programmers can surely switch these ads off with ONE YEAR of hard work. Because you have known about this complaint since last year, as the link above clearly shows that.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We are aware of this AVG popup issue and we have passed it to our concern team and they are working on this. Thank you.

Well, you can manually block pop-ups and suspiocus sites manually in the most known web browsers for Windows PC including Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet EXploere. etc.
Steps to Enable SmartScreen Filter In I.E
First of all open Ineternet Explorere in your PC.
Open Tools menu (or gear icon).
Select Safety from the drop-down list.
Click the Report Unsafe website option.
Turn on Block Attack Sites & Web Forgeries of Mozilla Firefox
First of all open Mozilla Firefox browser.
Click on Firefox button from the top and choose Options >Options from the list.
In the options Windows, check mark on the following items.
Warn me when sites try to install add-ons
Block reported attack sites
Block reported web forgeries
Finally, click OK to save the change and restart your browser.
Enable Phishing and Malware Protection in Google Chrome
Open Google Chrome and click on Menu and then click on Settings.
Now find and click on Show advanced Settings option.
In Privacy section, check Enable phishing and malware protection.
In the end restart your browser to save the settings.
Justin, these popups aren't internet popups. These popups are WITHIN the AVG application, and they keep popping up on your screen when you watch movies or work. So no popup blocker app can stop these unwanted AVG ad popups. They are embedded into the AVG software, and they pop up even when you are a paying customer of AVG.
The staff of AVG says that you can disable these popups in the settings menu, but it is a lie. As you can see on this support thread, even if you disable popup options in the settings menu, they STILL DO POP UP, unstoppable: https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000DA01AAG
I have a good news for you. Changes related to our marketing campaigns (users will be able to change the occurrence rate) are prepared and will be released in one of the upcoming program updates.
After reading a lot of posts (and some solutions) I'm dissapointed! The solutions offered from AVG isn't there... I do not have the option to "delay" in-app for three days! Is the "solution" a hoax??
Four years after the complaints above regarding AVG popups attempting to upsell their products it seems the AGV team must still be "working on it" as the popups are as bad as ever. We have the AVG Ultimate product which you would expect to include everything but it doesnt. I am getting regular popups that indicate that my PC is being slowed down with a list of fixes... would I like to fix them - yes, here are your pricing options! I am going to do my research now on PC protection packages and when our subscription is up, we will be moving away from AVG as it seems that four years is not long enough to address the complaints of their customers, so there is little hope that my complaint will have an impact.
I understand your concern, Peter I can help you to disable the pop ups Just to confirm that we are in the same page, kindly share us the screenshot of the pop up you receive. It's been promised for over a year now. That's really an empty promise from AVG.
