I have tried unistalling and reinstalling AVG which was successful but I am getting the same error I was getting prior. I am running Windows 8.1 64 bit. AVG anitvirus free edition. When it goes to do the antivirus update it pops up with a license error. "Update Failed. Invalid License"

Please check whether you have installed any other conflicting applications like McAfee, Avast, Norton etc.. on your PC, If so please uninstall the conflicting applications. If not, please click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG Remover tool to remove all the traces of the AVG. 1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process. 2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer. 3. After the restart, manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.
4. Once uninstalled download the installation file using the link : http://www.avg.com/download to reinstall your AVG program. 5. Run the downloaded file to start the installation process. 6. Follow the instructions on your screen. 7. Complete the installation and restart your computer. This issue seems to be problematic. Around time of this post, I noticed mine was doing the same thing. Uninstalled, reinstalled numerous times and same issue. Have done the removal tool as well, and MANUALLY went in and deleted everything I could find on the hard disk as well as the registry. Still same issue. I find it rather amusing, that AVG seems to not have a resolution to post.
