Have been trying to ask for refund for AVG Go Tech Support / Total Care Bundle

Hi AVG Community,
 
I had purchased your unlimited technical support package AVG Go Tech Support / AVG Total Care Bundle - around mid December. It is a monthly service for tech support.

However, I have been extremely disappointed. The one time I have received technical service - on the day I had purchased it -, it was of no use, it didnt fix my problem and, in fact, what the Support Specialist did remotely caused my internet connection to stop. No one called me back to follow up or apologise for what has been done. I had to take my laptop to a laptop centre here in Edinburgh and paid an additional 89 GBP to get fixed what the AVG support had undone.

I have been asking for a refund of this AVG Total Care Bundle support since end of December. I have been writing various emails to email addresses that are mentioned in your website or in the original purchase email sent to me.

I have been calling the helpline that is given in your email replies but no hope.  1 - 844 - 234 - 60 38 is not the correct number. As I have called it a few times, either no answer depending on what hour you call OR somebody answers and tells you to call another number for AVG refund requests. When I try to call that other number, I am on hold for at least 30 minutes. 

Please help me, I need my money back. I would like to get my refund.

Hi Alan

Thank you for sending through this link. I have read that link before and I have tried to make my refund request from that link that they mention on that address.

However, unlike other cheaper AVG products, this service (more expensive, $200 for the whole year) - you are not able to ask for refund via the website, electronically it seems.

Someone got back to me from support@help.avg.com address and insists that I should call this number that noone is answering!!! I am copy pasting the reply below just fyi.

Therefore, please call the phone number 1-844-234-6038 listed on the AVG Go plan site plan site to have your order refunded.

Exactly a week ago, I sent the message above hoping someone would get back to me and solve my problem of the refund of 200 US dollars.

All I am asking is my refund, my money back for the services that I had purchased that I am very unhappy with it. I don't want any more solutions or help from AVG tech support, I just want my refund.

It will have been 5 working days tomorrow that you replied to say 'you are asking more senior teams' about what to do. Noone has gotten back to me, no explanations... Normally with any other refunds of products, you just click and send a form and the refund is made. Why is it being made impossible to get my money back for this support I had purchased?

Please help me. And please note I live in Edinburgh, UK so please don't refer to me to US numbers that don't work or to UK numbers that don't work or noone answers or it takes 45 minutes for someone to answer.

I am furious with the behaviour of AVG in regard to AVG GO.   I was in need of technical support and was told my THREE current licences did not cover such issues and I would need to purchase AVG GO.  I was NOT INFORMED that this was only an "AVG Partner".  Leading me to believe that I was still dealing with AVG.   The technical support was abismal and clearly involved a person who hadn't got a clue of what to do to fix the problem.   Prior to the transfer to "some one who can help you solve this problem" my laptop was almost unusable.  The product was therefore misrepresented and my purchase constituted fraud by misrepresentation.   I fully intend to use the legal process to obtain the "partners" details and also nominate AVG as a culpable agent for consiracy.   You have 7/10 working days to arrange my refund which is a reasonable period.   In the absence of the refund you should know A) the matter of fraud by misrepresentation will benotified to the FRAUD ACTION Police Task force regarding cyber crime.  B) you should know my intention will be to recover all my costs.  C) you should know that together with costs I will be seeking compensation for distress and anguish that has been caused.   D) you should know that AVG shall be name as a party to the criminality acts.

I have tried a number of times tocomply with your "ring this number" and I have reached a point where I no longer believe AVG GO.   My discussions with support to day resulted in me being transfered to a "supervisor".   This supervisor told me that a refund was "in process" and would take 3/5 days.   More delay without any justification.  I was promised 2 May 7/10 days, with this offer the timing will total 28 days since the promised refund.  I was ok with it up to a point.  However I rang in again a little later, this time the advisor seemed to want to own the problem!   After being very patient waiting for a very long time the same advisor came back on the phone.  She then said that she would up date my records and have VAG GO ring me on my land line.  You can expect a call back SOME TIME THIS WEEK or IT MAY BE NEXT WEEK.   Unhappy but she was kind and tried to help so I rang off -- I then used the AVG GO "this number is for refunds only and no other reason.  I called 1 - 844 - 234 - 6038 - this provided 3 OPTIONS, NONE OF WHICH MENTIONED REFUNDS.  I pressed option 1 and waited until a message said if you want us to call you back leave your name and number.   Ileft my name and number SURPRISE SURPRISE -NO ONE RUNG ME BACK.   So here is an option for you you have 24 hrs to refund the money by bank transfer, paypal or any other method.   In the absence of a refund on Wenesday morning AVG and AVG GO will be reported for conspiracy to defraud (AVG) and fraud (AVG GO)  So don't ask me to ring AGAIN.   While you repeat we regret forget the regret REFUND MY MONEY.

Having read previous comments  I am suffering from the same lack of support from AVG.
My purchace of the useless   premium technical support was one month ago.As it did not resolve my problem I requested a refund. Multiple contacts with AVG GO who promised refunds in 10 days 7 days and finally 48 hours proved nothing but lies. Please has anyone in the thread recieved a refund?

        Are you the angel i have been searching for.Despite past contact with AVG over my refund problems with AVG GO  INCIDENT No.29969216  no one has been the slightest help. AVG GO have been giving me the run-around for one month now over a £160 refund. These guys are bringing a large company into serious disrepute.Any help you can give me would be seriously appreciated.

Hi   Anyone from AVG Technologies   (not avg go)     Why but Why does a  multinational company of repute allow AVG GO to use their name and give such appauling service, I am now calling them  (avg go) on a daily basis re a refund which was supposedly Aaproved over A  month ago and has not yet arrived.Anyone in for a class action    Roger
