I keep getting a threat pop-up from AVG, notifying me that a threat has been secured; this pops up about every half an hour. I have attached an image of what it looks like.
Any help as to how to either remove or stop this would be much appreciated!!
Thank you for getting back to me. Just to add, when I open the quarentine as well, nothing is shown in there; I have 'repaired' AVG as well, and i have AVG Internet Security installed
This is a screenshot as requested - I was using Studio One at the time, but it seems to happen irrespective of which program I am using.
I am using i5, 64 bit PC. I have cleaned the Registry, run a full AVG scan, and also scanned with Windows Defender. I previously had Avast installed which gave the same problem, but I did a complete removal of it before installing AVG ( I have always used AVG before). I hope you can solve this as it's making my sound recording software impossible to use.
Thank you for the screenshot. Yes, this might be a false positive. However, for analysis, we are in need of AVG log files and to collect that, please contact our chat support using this link: https://support.avg.com/support_tech_chat?l=en . Once you get connected, inform the technician that you were redirected from AVG community to collect the log files of AVG for the threat detection. If there are any issues in getting connected, do keep us informed here.
