PC tuneup: Disk defragmenting...

I know other people have this problem too, but I haven't seen the answer yet...
I just got AVG tuneup and it's been stuck on disk defragmentation for more than a singular hour. So are there any humans out there with advice on this? many appreciations.

Tom,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern.
If you have large file size in your computer and then it will take time to complete it. You can stop the Disk Defragmentation scan and do it from All Function component. We can do some work around and check if it is working. Please follow the below steps and check if the Disk Defragmentation scan works properly.

1. Please open AVG PC TuneUp.
2. Click on All functions and select Disk Defragmentation option.
3. Please select Automatically fast in the Defragmentation scan type and click on Next when prompted.
4. You can see the scan progress and the estimated time in that window.
5. Please leave it till it gets completed and let us know if that worked.

You can skip the defragmentation feature from maintenance scan and use it from "All functions".

1. Please open AVG PC TuneUp.
2. You can see a Gear Symbol at the bottom corner of Maintenance Scan. (the first component in AVG PC TuneUp)
3. Please click on 1-Time Maintenance Scan Tab and uncheck the disk defragmentation option (Last option in the menu).
4. Click on Apply and then select OK.
5. Please try the maintenance scan now and it should work fine.
6. If you wish to use disk defragmentation feature, you can use it from the "All functions" tab
