Possible Fake email

Hello,  I received an email today that claimed to be from AVG saying my subscription payment had failed, and that I must click a link to correct this.  I assume it is a scam?

Hello Trevor,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We understand that you are receiving emails claiming AVG. We'll certainly check and help you out. We have seen an increase in subscription renewal scams where identity thieves send fake emails in hopes that you will click on a malicious link.
You will always receive your next renewal price in the billing reminder email from notification@mails.avg.com or no.reply@avg.com only.

You can report a spam or scam email to AVG (spam@avg.com) to help us improve our products.
It is preferred to send the email samples as an attachment to avoid the loss of key content of the message which is required for analysis.
Email submissions are subject to manual or automated review.
The spam@avg.com email address does not send additional updates to you.

Thank you for your understanding.
