Your IP Address is visible / Your location is exposed / etc.

I have a paid subscription to AVG Internet Security and I keep getting messages about the lack of a VPN, e.g. "Your IP Address is visible:..."  "Your location is exposed:..." etc. However I use a separate VPN that is not AVG's own product.

Therefore these messages are not only annoying, but also wrong! AVG needs to be able to detect other VPNs and hide such messages in such cases, or have the ability for the user to switch off the4se messages (if this exists I can't find it).

(And before anyone tells me to re-install the product, this was just done a few days ago by AVG Support in order to fix a different problem).

Dear Rakshith
Thanks for such a prompt and helpful reply - this answers my questioon perfectly.
It does, however, raise two further points in my mind:
1. Why, when one has a paid subscription, does AVG mark these provacy items as "on" by default when by rights they should be off (i.e. users should opt in to advertising, not have have opt out)? In the UK this would contravene GDPR!
2. Why is this so non-intuitive? Who would guess that you'd hve to so the following steps to switch off what is basically advertising:
Menu > Settings > Personal privacy
Deselect the two "Offers" check boxes

I really like AVG, but this is poor UI design and poor policy.

We're sorry to hear that you feel that way, Bruce.

This isn't the experience we wanted you to have had.
Many of our users find these offers useful, they rely on them to upgrade to our higher levels of protection. By doing so, they help fund your free version of the protection.
We also handpick offers from our other products or those of partners we feel can add to your security or digital experience. If you have suggestions on how these offers might be more relevant to you or less intrusive, please let us know. We are always working on improving your experience with AVG.
In this regard, we'd request you to submit your valued feedback to our developers team directly. You can submit your feedback from the AVG Internet Security program itself.
Open AVG Internet Security > Menu > About > Report a bug.
Thank you for understanding in advance!
