Aravinda Jayaram Cannot open AVG
Hi,
I am unable to open AVG due to an infection I suffered a while back. I think the infection has been fixed now, but I still cannot open AVG. The error message I get is:
Windows cannot open this program because it has been prevented by a software restriction policy. For more information, open Event Viewer or contact your system administrator.
I have read online about other people who have had this problem, and it looks like they had to run a diagnostic tool to find out what the issue was. So it does not look like an easy problem to fix. Would anyone here be able to help me?
Windows version: XP
AVG version and virus db version : Just installed AVG 2015. Cannot open AVG to check virus db version.
Other antivirus software installed / previously uninstalled: Avast, some chinese program used to fix the infection.
Other protection software installed: At the moment, none.
