Can't remove AVG in any way!

Hi everyone!
First of all I'd like to thank in advance to anyone who takes time time answer this question!
So, I have the free AVG version installed, and I just feel that the Zen thing is completely counter intuitive and I decided to remove AVG entirely. I ran the remover tool, but when I rebooted the machine this error messages would pop up about AVG not being able to be executed and such. When I take a look at the C: Drive, AVG folder's still there intact. Next I know it's started hijacking files, as if they were viruses (which they clearly weren't) and I can't get them back because I can't execute AVG (I get the error pop ups) but It's somehow still working.
I tried removing the folder manually but I need SYSTEM privileges. I tried uninstalling from control panel to no avail. I even downloaded AVG again and tried to install it to see if there was some sort of built-in uninstaller but the installation gets stuck at 98%.
I tried everything and this is quite infuriating, I'm getting quite desperate so please, I'd apreciate a hand with this!
Thanks

Hi!
Sadly it seemed to do nothing, the uninstaller gets stuck at the beginning at : uninstalling wsc_proxy.exe/svc /unregister /firewall and I literally have to reboot the computer in order to be able to close it.
I also tried doing it in safe mode as well, to no avail.
What else can I do?

Even I am facing the very same issue. I ran AVG cleaner, AVG remover. Immediately after running, AVG gets removed from Windows defender security center. But it comes back within few minutes.
Here is the proof:

Hello Ishesh,
The screenshot you provided gave us a better understanding. Have you removed the traces of AVG manually?

If not, refer this article: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product to run AVG Clear and remover tool.

Note: Run remover tool until you get an option " Run anyway" while detecting the installed products.

After restart, go to Run window (press windows key and R key simultaneously) and type the following comments to delete the folders manually.

1. Type  “Temp” and press enter, remove all the files.
2.  “%temp%” and remove all the files.
3.  %appdata% - Remove all the AVG folders.
4.  %programdata% - Open the AVG folder and remove the old files.
5. Type C: and press enter, delete AVG remover folder.

Please go to c: drive-> Program files/ Program files(x86) and delete the AVG files.

We are here if you need further assistance.

I'm in the same situation, nothing's working. Your antivirus is acting like a hell of a virus. It protects himself from deleting it and it generates a lot of errors in my computer, I cant install any kinds of programs now. Please help !!

Thank you for the information.
Are you facing this issue with AVG Antivirus free or AVG Internet Security program?
Maxime GrenierMaxime Grenier
Hi sir,
The issue is concerning AVG antivirus free, I can no loger install any program. I cant open AVG anymore. My pc was just formatted, I installed a couple programs one included avg antivirus free when you dont take time to read during installation. Since that time I'm now able to instal any new program and as said previously I cant delete anyting related to AVG plus the AVG clear and remover are not working.

Thank you for the information.
May I know what message you get while running AVG remover and Clear tool?
Maxime GrenierMaxime Grenier
Hi Balasubramanian,

Problem solved, I had to turn off my actual antivirus prior to run AVG remover.

The error keep popping up and disrupting my work. Someone need to find a solution for this. Your anti virus suck big time rather than protecting me it keep giving me issues from your own program.

Hello,

What was the error you were getting while running the clear or remover tool?

Also provide us the screenshot of the error.

Tried all of the above and still cannot remove AVG 2011 x64 even though its nowhere to be seen. Tried every install/uninstall tool and every manual method but keep seeing this when trying to install a firewall.
