I am experiencing the same problem and the above advice does not solve it for me. I have a machine with windows 10 home with the latest updates installed. Could you please advise if there is an alternative fix, or new version of AVG free that will install properly?

These tools will help us to remove AVG traces completely from your computer. Once uninstalled, please download the offline installer (64 or 32 bit OS) links https://www.avg.com/en-us/download.prd-gsr-free and install AVG Free.

Same problem with my avg ultimate paid version. It crashes and freezes. I have the same problem in two machines. Im requesting a refund, I dont want to try anymore thank you my license is 12223748572
