AVG Firewall blocks Windows 10 RDP

My AVG Internet Security ver 17.3.3011, is blocking remote desktop connections.

If I disable the firewall, RDP works.

I have enabled "Allow remote desktop connections to this computer" under the System Rules section.
I can see the firewall blocking the RDP connections in the Firewall Logs even though there are no rules setup for this.

I urgently need this resolved. Please assist.

Hello Marcus,
We apologize for the inconvenience. This issue will fix by changing some settings in AVG firewall. Please follow the instructions to change the Firewall settings : Open AVG Zen -> Internet Security -> Click on Menu in the top right corner -> Settings -> Components -> Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> Change the networks from Public to Private (If it is in Private, change it to Public)
Thank you.

I had to same problem and changed the settings in the Firewall to Private and I can connect, however AVG seems to change this back to Public and I can no longer remotely access my desktop - it has to be re-set to private.  Is there a way to ensure that when I set the network to Private it stays that way?

Hello Deb,
In this case, I request you to repair AVG Internet Security (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-repair-AVG), update (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > update) it one more time, please change AVG Firewall network profile to private (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > components > firewall > customize > network profile > change all the network public to private), please go to Firewall customize settings again > scroll down > click on system rules > enable all the system rules if it's not configured, please click OK and reboot your computer once. After reboot, please check if your AVG program and remote desktop are working fine.
Best regards,
Alok.

Hi Benny,

Let's check this together.
Please open AVG Internet Security icon - Click Menu - Click Settings - Click Components - Scroll down to Firewall - Click Customize.
Enable the "Internet connection sharing mode" and "Allow all connections with Friends when in Private mode".
If you continue to face the same issue, please contact us via live medium:
