AVG Scanning and repairing drive (C): stuck at 11%
After a clean instal of Windows 10, I downloaded and installed my licensed copy of AVG PC Tuneup. I opted to scan drive C, and was prompted to restart the PC, which I did. Now the message is:"Scanning and repairing drive (C): 11% complete". The scan is stuck at 11% for about an hour. What should I do?
Hello Tamie, May I know if AVG PC TuneUp "Disk defragmentation" is taking time (Over 2 hours)? If possible, please share a screenshot of the scan stuck page to assist you further. The screen has been sitting 11% for well over 2 hours, now. Probably closer to 4 hours. I have been busy and lost track. I cannot take a screenshot because I cannot get into the laptop because it is stuck at this screen and your instuctions say not to turn the computer off. I have taken a picture with my phone.
Hello Alok! Here us where it is stuck. I ran the scan from the AVG control panel and this is as far as it has gone. It has been sitting like this for well over 2 hours. The dots are still circling as if it is running. I took this pic of my laptop with my phone.

I am having the same problem, it is stuck at 11%. Just bought this today and so far it is not leaving a good impression. I will probably be requesting a refund since my time has been wasted and my computer has been jeapardized.
It is not recommended to stop this scan, as this scanning technique is so intense and would take long period of time to complete the scanning process as it scans the whole hard drive. Aborting this process may lead to other technical issues.
For how long this scan is stuck at 11%?
You can skip this scan by repeatedly tapping on the space bar which would later perform a normal reboot of your PC.
In case if you still experience any difficulties, please let us know to proceed further.
If you need refund for this product, then please post you query directly from your account to locate your account and to help you with the refund.

I had the same problem today with the first scan I have done since purchasing AVG Ultimate 2019. I had a feeling that as the circle of dots was still moving there was still a scan going on. It took four hours but eventually the scan was completed after appearing to be frozen on 11% for at least 3 hours.
